The focus is on using Alkyne-Carbonyl Metathesis (ACM) reaction due to its high atom economy and efficiency. In this regard, a metal free, Br{\o}nsted acid mediated intramolecular ACM reaction has been developed to form new seven- and six-membered carbocycles.
