The extent to which seeds from wild plants can survive anaerobic digestion (AD) and ensiling was investigated. AD reduced seed viability, with the extent of the reduction being determined by an interplay of seed characteristics and process parameters. Responses of seed viability ranged from complete inactivation to a steep decline after a lag phase to an initial increase in viability (hormesis). Ensiling did not completely inactivate any of the tested species with physical dormancy, but all of them without it.", school="Universit{\"a}t Rostock", note="vorgelegt von Juliane Hahn", note="Enth{\"a}lt Zeitschriftenartikel", note="GutachterInnen: B{\"a}rbel Gerowitt (University of Rostock) ; Peter Zwerger (Julius K{\"u}hn Institute for Plant Protection in Field Crops and Grassland) ; Johannes Isselstein (University of G{\"o}ttingen)", note="Dissertation Universit{\"a}t Rostock 2024 Kumulative Dissertation", doi="10.18453/rosdok_id00004773", url="https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00004773", url="https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00004773-5", url="https://d-nb.info/1365412407/34", url="https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00004773", language="English" }
