Results of performance tests showed hybrid candidates that can deliver a higher yield by growing with increased plant density. Segregation analyses for the trait ``plant height'' indicate that it is under monogenic control. 22 candidate genes were sequenced and SNPs were identified. Association studies revealed significantly associated SNPs.
