High follicular levels of NEFA severely affect granulosa cells (GCs) by targeting key genes of estradiol biosynthesis. Cultured GCs exposed to hypoxia showed specific regulation of genes that initiate luteinization. These effects were partly mediated by hypoxia inducible factor1 (HIF1). Thus, ovarian follicles are susceptible to elevated NEFA levels, but cope up with severe hypoxia prevailing during late folliculogenesis through specific transcription factors such as HIF1.", school="Universit{\"a}t Rostock", note="vorgelegt von ARPNA Sharma", note="Enth{\"a}lt Zeitschriftenartikel", note="GutachterInnen: Beate Brown (Reproductive Biology, Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (IZW) Berlin) ; Christiane Pastor (Veterinary University Hannover, Anatomical Institute) ; Jens Vanselow (Leibniz Institute for Livestock Biology (FBN) Dummerstorf)", note="Dissertation Universit{\"a}t Rostock 2021 Kumulative Dissertation", doi="10.18453/rosdok_id00002985", url="http://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00002985", url="https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00002985-6", url="https://d-nb.info/1293533955/34", url="https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00002985", language="English" }
