These contain as soft segment polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and a harder segment of poly(propylene glycol), or poly(ethylene glycol) (PPG, PEG). The products were obtained via ring-opening polymerization, hydrosilylation and metathesis reactions, all of high significance in industry.
