However the main drawback accompanying these products is the high viscosity of prepolymers after their synthesis. It has been revealed that the main reason for the increased prepolymer viscosity is a high amount of hydrogen bonding between urea and urethane groups. This thesis summarizes the development of several strategies for overcoming a severe viscosity buildup by eliminating or reducing the amount of hydrogen bonding.
