Aside from the density gradient between the river and the ocean, wind is a key mechanism in estuaries. The present study shows results describing the influence of wind on the estuarine exchange flow. A newly derived analytical formulation of wind-driven along-estuary velocity profiles motivates a critical basic Wedderburn as a measure for the sensitivity of an estuary to wind.", school="Universit{\"a}t Rostock", note="vorgelegt von Xaver Lange", note="GutachterInnen: Hans Burchard (Leibniz-Institut f{\"u}r Ostseeforschung Warnem{\"u}nde) ; Robert Hetland (Texas A{\&}M University, Department of Oceanography)", note="Dissertation Universit{\"a}t Rostock 2019", doi="10.18453/rosdok_id00002660", url="http://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00002660", url="https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00002660-9", url="https://d-nb.info/1293659460/34", url="https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00002660", language="English" }
